ARA Partners with AUVSI to Develop Cyber, Supply Chain Security Framework for Autonomous Ground Vehicles

Applied Research Associates, Inc.’s (ARA) Neya Systems Division, a leading provider of off-road autonomy and mission planning software, announced the launch of a partnership with the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) to develop a cybersecurity and supply chain framework and certification program for uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs). This forthcoming program aims to establish comprehensive standards and testing protocols that will enhance the security, performance, and reliability of uncrewed and autonomous ground vehicles and robotics.

The initiative is set to address the growing need for standardized evaluation and certification of UGVs. The partners aim to establish a robust, industry-backed cybersecurity and supply chain verification framework for UGVs before the end of 2024. This framework and subsequent voluntary certification program will focus on enhancing the protection, mitigation, recovery, and adaptability of autonomous ground vehicles.
