ARA is pleased to announce the addition of Maggie Gendron as a principal of ARA Government Relations. Gendron brings 20 years of experience in policy development, legislative strategy, and federal and state appropriations knowledge to ARA.
In her role at ARA, she will bring her public and private sector experience within transportation and climate action to further support the connections between Congressional priorities and ARA’s expansive portfolio of innovative technology solutions to the complex challenges faced by those industries.
“ARA boasts world-class technology designed by some of our industry’s most innovative problem solvers. Like them, Maggie brings energy and creative thinking to her work. She will support our efforts to broaden our scope into the worlds of transportation, infrastructure, energy, and the growing demand of climate resilience. We are thrilled to have her join us.”
Will Goodman, Senior Vice President, Government Relations
Gendron’s experience spans more than a decade with U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt), and a decade of working with local governments, most recently as the deputy secretary of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources under Governor Phil Scott (R-Vt).
In her role as deputy secretary, Gendron supported the operation of more than 1,100 employees, drove agency policy strategy and engagement, and supported the deployment stages of more than $400 million dollars of Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funding to Vermont’s communities. In addition to her work with Sen. Leahy and state government, Gendron was a founding team member of Government Relations at Lime, the world’s largest shared electric vehicle company, and successfully opened their top U.S. East Coast urban markets.
Gendron holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, and a master’s of public administration from the University of Vermont.
